Previous & Current Projects
“Create with the heart; build with the mind.”
A riverside deck designed and built for a new customer in Ham. On the far right is a launch ramp for kayaks.
Last year we “open planned” and fitted a new kitchen in Taunton. We also installed supplemental underfloor heating, new lighting, new consumer unit, new radiators and full decorated it. These are a selection of before during and after photos. In one of them you will even see the boss operating a broom! Technical stuff that sweeping up! We are back at the same house now creating a wet room in the old bathroom.

Mattastic Plastering Matthew Nealon
External fasciae to four sash windows on a grade 2 listed house, replaced and ready for the final coat of lime render. The original softwood fasciae were rotten and weren’t up to the job on this weather beaten side of the house so the replacements are American white oak to give them some longevity.
A new project in Taunton. Knocking through a lounge and kitchen. New ceiling full replaster, flooring and kitchen to follow
A week in and more changes, insulation on the ceilings, first fix electrics and walls insulated and closed ready for plasterboard and plaster.
At the end of day two there have been some significant changes to the space. The existing wiring has, in the interests of safety, been completely decommissioned and new walls walls are going up to divide the space into new classrooms.
A new project started. Conversion of a huge space (which ended to be a skittle alley and shooting range) into a suite of classrooms for Bridgwater Sea Cadets
A change of look for an existing garden studio in Ham. Fully insulated, plaster boarded and plastered. The concrete floor was also re-laid with a new damp proof membrane and insulation below it, then tiled with a shabby chic wood plank effect tile. New skirting boards finish the floor level. Ready to be decorated and furnished.
Kitchen and dining room fully redecorated for a customer in Creech St Michael. Looking fresh and new again in Almond White and white matt vinyl with satin white gloss on all of the doors and woodwork.
New front door hung and frame repaired (when three other builders said it couldn’t be done ?for a new customer is Creech St Michael.
A grade two listed waterwheel, after nearly 3 years jammed solid now turns freely again. A few hours spent inside the wheel checking clearances and removing fallen masonry, not to mention greasing the axle and it spins again. The blades of the wheel which have been submerged for all that time have soaked up a lot of water and now mean the wheel is unbalanced. As soon as they dry out a bit the wheel will maintain a steady speed and do exactly what it is meant to do.
A new bathroom for a customer in Creech. This room was completely gutted, re-plastered and the plumbing was re-jigged to move the suite into new positions. New wood paneling, fully decorated, new floor covering and new suite installed. Just waiting for the radiator and mirror to be delivered for final sign off. I’m very pleased with how this bathroom turned out. The layout has created more space in what was previously a very cramped and dated bathroom.
Sliding door system built to conceal a boiler, tank and tumble drier for a client in Tiverton. Also a cupboard to conceal underfloor heating controls as well as boxing in some pipes behind the fridge again allowing a tidy access for the heating controls.
